This is a review of the ultralight G4 Backpack Kit that I ordered from Questoutfitters.com The pack came in at 13 3/8 ounces or 379 grams for those of you that like your beer warm. Using my ultralight 10 x 12 silnylon tarp, I show how to set up an emergency, or A-frame shelter using just 6 stakes, and one ridge line. Big enough to sleep 2, with bathtubbed wall and gear storeage, this inexpensive tarp has options for the serious ultralighter or day hiker. No hiking poles needed for set up.
