Ultralight G4 Backpack Kit Review

This is a review of the ultralight G4 Backpack Kit that I ordered from Questoutfitters.com The pack came in at 13 3/8 ounces or 379 grams for those of you that like your beer warm. Summer ultralight/lightweight hiking update

Pack Weight Breakdown; .Pack 550g .Bug tent 260g .Thermarest neoair 350g .Siltarp 380g .Cook system 395g .Gear stuffsack 1035g .Silk sleeping bag liner 130g .Pillow 100g .Steripen travel 90g Filter Bottle 100g Bladder 90g .Gaiters,rainjacket etc. 1000g Total 4.445kg/9.79 lbs I also carry a Leatherman Skeletool CX and a cellphone.

E shelter 10×12 Tarp

Using my ultralight 10 x 12 silnylon tarp, I show how to set up an emergency, or A-frame shelter using just 6 stakes, and one ridge line. Big enough to sleep 2, with bathtubbed wall and gear storeage, this inexpensive tarp has options for the serious ultralighter or day hiker. No hiking poles needed for set up.
